Wildernest Stays is a locally owned family business spanning three generations. In 2005, we moved to Northwestern Michigan from the Flint area. Monica wanted her three children to grow up in nature, and moved the family to Traverse City in 2005. It was a massive and challenging move for a single mother, and she’d do it again in an instant.

This is a family operation. Marcus is the youngest of Monica’s children, and started this business. He brought in the family with the goal of sharing our transition and love of Northern Michigan with everyone else. Along with Marcus, the Wildernest Stays crew consists of Monica, our matriarch; Erin, the sister and designer; and John, the eldest grandson and our handyman. We are here for any and all questions you have and want you to love this area as much as we do.
